Why after I have updated my software does my app screen say my subscription is expired?

If you have recently renewed it can take a few hours (for the Webroot version) and up to 24 hours (for the Best Buy) version renewals to show up  in some cases.
 
You could try running a scan as that has been known to push subscription information to the Cloud and so hasten the process.
 
If you are a Webroot version user and you see no change in the next couple of hours please Open a Support Ticket  so they can look into the issue for you (if you are a Best Buy version user and 24 hours have elapsed then you should contact The Geek Squad so they can check what is going on at their end).
