running a scan at 1:00 AM
Does the computer have to be on to run a scheduled scan, or can I put it in sleep mode or off?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
You can actually manage how and when the scheduled scan takes place. Click on 'Advanced Settings' (top right of the main app panel), then click on the 'Scheduler' tab, followed by the 'Scan Schedule' tab on the next panel displayed.
There you should see options to allow you to set/alter the scan frequency & time that the scan takes place, as well as other options to allow such further customisation as initiating the scan on boot up if the computer was off at the scheduled time of the scan, etc.
Hopefully this will allow you to customise the scan in the way you want? But if you have further questions please post back.
