Why does Webroot not pick up the S3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com malware versions.  One of the kids hit something and my computer is a mess.  Webroot did not detect it.

Hi 4merroad4man

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.  WSA should be detecting & stopping the malware that is associated with the doamin that you have referred to but it is always possible that there is a very new variant present which has yet to blacklisted in the Webroot Cloud...tghere is sometimes a short delay between the identification of a new threat and it being blacklisted.

It sounds to me that your best course of action is to Open a Support Ticket ASAP, to let the Support Team know about your situation so that they can investigate and assist in the removal of the malware if WSA is not able to do so automatically.  The Support Team are around 24/7 even at weekends although their response times over that period may be somewhat slower than the usual stellar service they provide.

This service is free of charge to WSA users who have a current/active subscription.

Regards, Baldrick
