When I do a search, Webroot no longer gives me green, yellow or red circles alerting me to a safe website, they are all gray.

Hello bigboo, welcome to the Community!

What browser are you using?  If you use a different browser do you get the expected results with the green, yellow, red circles?

I only use Google Chrome

I have just tried a few tests with Firefox, CyberFox, Chrome, Palemoon, etc., and from what I can see (and this is no means conclusive) the Chrome-based browsers seem more affected that the Mozilla ones.

So perhaps, if you have the option I would suggest that you try Firefox as an interim measure, and see if that is better for you.

Thank you for the reply,

If you can, please check to make sure the extension is still turned on.

In Chrome, click the 'three line menu button' at the top
click More Tools
Click Extensions
Go over the listed extensions to find Webroot Filtering Extension.  Make sure that it is enabled.

EDIT.  I was not aware that there is a problem affecting a large number of users... .I tried a search and I have the same problem  :)

Webroot is aware of the issue and they are working on it.. hopefully they will have the problem in Chrome fixed soon!

I hope this corrects itself. I have used Firefox in the past and had far to many issues with it.

Hi David

What is very strange is that from my observations today in terms of my web access using Chrome, the issue seems to be sporadic in nature, even when accessing the same website repeatedly...sometimes there appears to be no issue and then all of a suddent everything seems to slow...and then a few minutes later...no issue.

Almost as if the issue is server side rather than client side...but as I am no expert that may just be my perception and have no basis in fact.

Hi bigboo

We have just heard from one of the Webroot Staff that they are indeed having backend or serverside issues today...they are working on it and hope to have it sorted by the end of the day.
