Scanning ZIP/RAR Files?

If I use webroot to scan a compressed or unextracted ZIP/RAR file, will it scan everything within the ZIP/RAR as well?

I ran a scan on a RAR and it said no threats detected, but I’m not sure if that counts everything within the RAR, too.

Webroot doesn’t scan within compressed files. But if you take action on that file and begin to extract something, and that has a threat, Webroot will take action then.

Compressed files like RAR, Zip etc.. are harmless anyway until something is extracted and executed.

Hope this helps
