Had my laptop and Outlook 2010 for 3 years now. Since installing WRSA a week ago, I get the following error messages (Note: I use several email accounts all with different servers and all have the same issue) : Check for new email reported error (0x800CCC0E) ; Outlook cannot download folder from IMAP email server Cannot connect to server.
I tried deinstalling WR but no change. I then did a system restore to a date prior to installing WR and all is fine. Once I download and install WR , the issue occurs. Shutting
I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this or also wondering whether WRSA alters firewall configs that might affect Outlook?
Since I installed WR SA , Outlook 2010 is not working

The baffling thing here is that even when WSA was uninstalled your system did not revert to work as expected but restore to a point prior to the original install of WSA did recover the expected behaviour.
Given that I would recommend that you Open a Support Ticket so that the Support Team can take a look at the circumstances of the issue for you. The service is free to WSA users with an active subscription.
But whilst st waiting for the Support Team to respond you may want to check out the places within WSA where it can block or restrict an app or file, but where the user can review this and if appropriate override the block/restriction. These can be found as follows:
There is one other area to check which is as follows:
The main thing to remember is do not change any setting to allow or unblock a file/app unless you are certain that it is safe to do so. If you have any doubts then either come back here to seek advice or update the Support Ticket opened, so that the professionals on the Support Team can add that to what they need to investigate/assist with.

I've been on travel so sorry for the tardy reply. So, here is a summary of what I have done and where I am today:
Prior to your reply, I decided to look at my firewall settings and my WR settings as you had suggested. I looked at the application protection set up and saw there were only chrome.exe and iexplore.exe approved apps. which were selected as "Protect". Not being a techie, I tried to figure out how I add MS Oultook but that led me to a folder System32 which listed several hunderd apps and folders. This was beyond my capability and I was worrying about doing more harm than good.
I also submitted tech support request. TS actually called me, took over control of my machine and went thru about an hour or so of processes aimed at removing my viruses and getting outook to work. However, once done they concluded that something other than WR was causing Outlook to not connect. They suggested looking at Firewall settings again.
II had to be able to access email thru Outlook while on travel and had spent two days trying to sort this issue out. So, I did another system restore to a date prio to WR installation. MS Outlook worked fine and I kept it that way (w/o WR installed) until this evening as I had returned home from travel. I reinstalled WR and alas, MS Outlook stopped working again. Clearly it is related to WR. I'll try TS again but I really need to stop spending hours on this instead of the work that pays me.

Am sorry to hear that the issue has not been sorted out by Webroot Support. I know from work that Outlook can be a real pain in the neck when it comes to playing nicely with security apps (and in this case not WSA I hasten to add).
I still suspect that this may well be something to do with the outbound firewall settings which so what I would do is to go to Active Connections (click on gear/cog symbol to the right of the PC Security tab > under Scan & Shields tab click on 'View Active Connections') and in the list of processes see if you can spot any Outlook related fil/app that appears to be active/trying to connect. That should at least identify which component is attached to the problem at hand.
What you can then look to do is to turn off the Firewall by using the relevant slider that is located just above the View Active Connections button, and see if that makes a difference. If it does not, i.e.e, you still cannot connect, then it is possible that it is the outbound Windows Firewall that is impeding your connection (WSA use/supplements the Windows Firewall).
So, as a next step, and so armed with the Outlook component trying to connect, you can then look to check in the "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security" option under Windows. Once in that option you should select 'Outbound Rules' from the left hand panel and then scan the 'Action' column of what is displayed to see if you can find any marked as 'Block' and then check to see what the particular rule relates to.
It is a long shot but it may well be that there is a rule blocking Outlook and then if there is you can edit it by right clicking on the rule itself and selecting 'Properties' from the dropdown displayed, and at the bottom of the 'General' tab you should see the option to ' Block', 'Allow the connection' or 'Allow the connection if it is secure', etc.
I appreciate that this may take time and may be tricky for you but it may be worth at least checking this and then reporting back to the Webroot Support team what you find, especially if you do find that switching off the WSA Firewall allows Outlook to communicate properly.
Please do keep us posted on progress as I am particularly interested in this issue.

OK.. WR Tech Support had control of my computer Saturday for close to six (6) hours. Aaron called around 3:30pm (EDT) and started the process of taking over my computer (something I always have a fear of), told me this woul;d take some time and said he would call when done. I checked my computer numerous times during the ensuing hours and saw that he also had brought in Yveginy (sp?) to assist with aspects of the fix.
For those who may nbot have seen the thread, I had purchased WRSA about two weeks ago and not only did it not eradicate the "pop-up new tab" adverts but it also prevented my Outlook 2010 from connecting to servers. A prior TS call didn't help and the only way I could resume use of my Outlook email client was to perform a system restore to a point prior to WR install and that did the trick. Of course, the virus remained.
SO, after submitting another ticket to TS, I recieved a call Saturday.
Bottom-line, this group fixed ALL of my issues :Dincluding making sure my Oultook client could connect and I could agian recieve email AND the cirus appears to be gone.
I have to say this was totally unexpected as my experience with tech support of other s/w providers has been average at best. Kudos go out to WR and the tech support team (especially Aaron and Yvegeny) who appeared to not give up and pursue a resolution. They did call me when complete but I was unavailable at the time.
WR---I am thoroughly impressed by your committment to excellence and pursuit of customer satisfaction.
