May I ask if you have gone to the Mozilla Support page to find out about a memory leak? If you Google this you will find alot of information available!

A memory leak is when a program fails to correctly release all of the RAM it is using when no longer needed. It is actually pretty common, especially with web browsers.
Usually the 'leak' is small enough these days that it does not really present an issue, but if you were a computer user back in the 'good old days' of Windows 95 or 98 you might recall having to reboot the computer more than once daily as it slowed down. That was the result of memory leaks :)

Have a look in Task Manager (Ctrl/Alt/Delete) and you can see how much memory Firefox is using (probably in region of 200+ MB), and see if it increases over time, with multiple tabs open etc.
