i have searched the disk for this pest but it keeps coming back each time i reboot on my win 7 machine. webroot seems to quarantine it immediately when it shows up, but i am looking for a permanant solution.  i have un-installed sharewares, and there is nothing suspicious in the startup folder.  does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of this threat?

Hello sidney818,

Welcome to the Webroot community Forum,

After doing some research of this threat ksmemulator.exe. I  would submit that Support Ticket free of charge with an active subscription and they will take care of this for you.

Hope this helps.

This particular file is part of a legitimate program that can be used for both good and bad. It normally has a few associated files which is why it isnt getting detected. If you create a support ticket I can take a look.
