I show 168 threats removed everytime I run a scan but not showing any active threats, how can I permanently remove these threats and what type of threats are these? I was told by my IP in an email that I had a trojan malwear called the Zeus. See below:
Dear Subscriber,

Cox has identified that one or more of the computers behind your cable modem are likely infected with the Zeus Trojan/bot, also known as Zbot.

While this malicious software is not new, it still poses a great risk to your computer and files that reside on your hard drive.

Zeus malware uses keylogging in order to access user names and passwords and infected over 13 million computers worldwide.

We recommend you take the following action:

1. Visit the Microsoft or Symantec website, download and run the FREE removal tool:

http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/

After running the free Microsoft removal tool, if you already have security software installed on your system:

2) Follow your security software's instructions to download the latest updates (also known as "virus definitions")

3) When the new definitions have been loaded, perform a full virus scan on your system.

Hi dehabur

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As a first step to resolving this for you would you please go HERE, take a look at the information and go to the same place as described in the article, click on Reset Protection Statistics, then do a another scan and let us know if all is cleared!

It should clear as a result of this action, since it is just showing the total of threat/malware, etc. that WSA removed since you installed WSA.

To help clarify the stats... Take a look at THIS KB.  If you indeed have Active Threats listed, you will want to submit a Support Ticket.  Threats Removed is not a worry.

If WSA is then not reporting the malware that your ISP has advised you have then I would say that they are mistaken...but if you have doubts/want to be sure then just Open a Support Ticket so that the SupportTeam can take a look and either reassure you or take steps to resolve the issue for you.
