Time Machine repeatedly experiences "threats". eventually the time machine itself becomes the threat and all the stored data is no longer accessible (I’ve been blocked out) and i have to repeat the same scenario again.

This has been happening ever since I bought the Time Machine.

Keyword is “threat”, “blocked”

Yesterday, I started another round of Time Machine Backups. I had a threat yesterday.

For today we have on the menu “Threat Name” PUA.OSX.TuneUpMyMac.1.r

What do I not understand?  What do I Allow or Block? or Monitor what?

I need simple directions... I’m a researcher, not a techie.

thanks in advance

Hello bluejeans,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Webroot is treating this like a threat obviously. This program Tuneupmy Mac ...did you purchase this? I have a Mac and I believe this program is useless IMO.  But  I would Submit a Support Ticket and have them check this out for you. This is a free charge with a Webroot subscription. The Support team can easily solve this issue for you.

Hope this helps somewhat?
