I cannot open a pdf on this windows 8 system.  When I double click to open, it goes to a black screen.  All online helps want me to disable security and reinstall adobe.  I'm not comfortable with this.  Has anyone else had and resolved this issue?

Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

You don't need to disable Webroot to install Adobe. Keep Webroot enabled.

I would open Adobe Reader and click on help and  select repair installation.  if this doesn't help then you can uninstall Adobe Reader and install the lastest from  here https://get.adobe.com/reader/
Please uncheck any add ons or offers. They cause havioc to ones computer.

Maybe someone here in the forum can add to this post as well?

Hope this helps?
