Unable to Uninstall Webroot on Mac

This is unacceptable, so there is no way to remove Webroot and now they want me to spend hundreds of dollars on an international call as international calls are very expensive here!

Sorry for your issues. I have a Mac as well and I do believe you can open up the Launchpad and look for Activity Monitor..
Click on WSA and in the upper left hand corne click the tab shown in photo below and a window opens  and and you click quit. Then try to uninstall from there by putting WSA in the trash and then empty trash.  Or follow below this information.
 
To fully uninstall the application from the Mac, simply move the icon from the Application's menu to the trash. After doing so, you will be prompted to 'Uninstall' the program. By confirming this window you will remove the additional information from the Mac Library where we store some of the files needed, including the log data. 
 
Let us know if you still cannot uninistall. You can also issue a Support Ticket and they will gladly  help you to uninstall. The Support Team is quicker when issuing a ticket usually.
 

thank you for your reply. I think I did that and the moment I move it to the trash, it just asks for my mac password but it never actually goes to the trash or gets uninstalled. When I did submit a support ticket I was told to call them! that's my issue.
 
what is the proper way of doing this? We are almost going to have to format the entire laptop just to get rid of webroot which I really don't wanna do

I know that this may sound silly but have you tried rebooting after you tried uninstalling...and then checked to see if WSA was still there and if so then attempted an uninstall after that?  I seem to remember this being recommended in these cases.

If you contact support they will communicate from there support webpage explaining how to uninstall Webroot with written instructions. If you don't want to wait for them and you know alittle bit about Commands you can go here!
 
 But I would reach out to Tech Support for this.

I am not a Mac expert or even user...am not a fan (but that is another, long story) but what I have done to help is trawl through other threads related to this subject (am assuming that you have and that you have tried some of the recommendations made by other users?) and have found the following which you may or may n ot have tried but in the interests of trying to help I will provide the info.
 
If seems that some users have noticed that Webroot has daemons running. Depending on the user posting it seems to be 2 or 3 mainly located at /usr/local/bin but these are they: 
 

• /usr/local/bin/WFDaemon Webroot Mac Web Filter Daemon
• /usr/local/bin/WSDaemon Webroot Mac Security Daemon
• /Applications/Webroot SecureAnywhere.app/Contents/MacOS/Webroot SecureAnywhere

In the cases I have read the users had to change permissions on before they could kill them and then uninstall WSA.  It looks like if they are left running, then you will still have a bit of Webroot on your system.
 
The advice is to go to the directory, chmod -x, then kill them and you are good to go...apparently.
 
As I said before I am no user of Macs but I offer this up in the hope that it will helps you.

I don't know how to do all these commands this is the first time I use a Mac! Webroot is a VIRUS! Screw this stupid application!! It has given me more trouble than if I had a virus on a computer!
 
Why can't you just release a bloody uninstaller to help people uninstall this crap that is full of false positives and slows the computer down to a crawl!!!!!

Finally!! Webroot support called me and connected to my Boss's computer then run many commands to uninstall Webroot! I am happy that it's gone but this is certainly not a way to uninstall an app for an average user!
