That's to allow us to turn on and off new methods of detecting malware more easily. We can test thing out in the agent without having to await a new build install. That helps us stay on top of the latest malware more quickly.

So if I understand what you said correctly, WSA now not only is smarter and faster with malware protection across the entire use base due to no need to update definitions, but now it also is even smarter and faster when it comes to new features?  No need (at times) to make a full new build and roll it out, and thus even quicker dev time on improvements?
 
Sounds pretty good to me, and another reason WSA is just plain the smartest solution around 🙂

We try 🙂 We're adding this so that we can make easier adjustments on the fly faster rather than having to wait on a full dev cycle to get new data collection and remedies.

I have to agree that Webroot products ARE smart but it all starts with having a very smart coding staff. In the end it is having the best people that makes the difference.
