Version Number Conventions for macos

Can you explain how the version number convention should be interpreted? For example, 9.7.4.8:1759: Does the last number signify a definition update? How does one know if these versions signify a major update?

The colon separates the Agent/service version from the definition version; ​@LTH651  your interpretation is accurate. While we do post release notes for the agent version updates, we do not post release notes for our definition updates so there would be no way for you to determine the new changes/determinations that have been added. For security reasons - we would likely choose to not share that information publicly.
