I was thinking about buying Weebroot SecureAnywhere from Amazon but I can't seem to find the version anywhere.
I'm affraid it's a discounted older version for the price they have it as. Anyone know how I can find out?

Also, I have Avira free installed on alll of my computers right now, will Webroot conflict wtih it?

Thanks.

Hi rictus

To be clear Webroot no longer go in for year 'numbering' their versions...as long as you have a valid subscription then you are entitled to the latest version...currently v8.0.4.123, and which you get automatically and silently (so silently in fact that often one does not know an update has occurred).

As this i sbeing sold by Amazon themselves I do not think that you should have an issue and the product name WSA is correct so I think that if you buy you should be OK...but that isjust my personal opinion on the matter.

Welcome to the Community Forum, rictus,

My advice would be to contact by phone to ask questions about Webroot and what version you are buying. Here's the link as well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/contact-us/188-4075737-5002528?ie=UTF8&language=en_US&nodeId=508510&ref_=cu_si_noauth&skip=true#b

I believe you can run Avira free without conflict but IMO I would say all you need is Webroot! But that's clearly your choice.

Let me ping @ as he would know more about using Avira Free. So please be patient and we will answer this question from one our gurus here.

Thanks,

Baldrick

Hi rictus

Welcome to the Community Forums.

To add what Sheery advised please see this page for a comparison of the various WSA versions, so you can check key functions.

In terms of conflicting with Avira...the answer is that WSA should not as it is designed form the ground up to be complisnt with other security solutions, although it is not always successful...but in the main you should not encounter any issues.  But to make sure then just make sure that you define WSA as trusted or excluded in Avira and vice versa.

Hopefully once you see how good WSA is you will like most of us here uninstall it and run with WSA as sole line of primary defense.

I guess what I'm asking is if this is the 2014 version or an older version. There is no dating or version number on anything.

If I buy the above will it give me the newest (2014) version of anti-virus?

Hope that's a little clearer.

Thanks

Baldrick
