web root installation problem on ms surface 2

Sorry you are having problems with the installation.  Let me try to help you .
 
 Please follow the steps closely!
 

• Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
• KEEP the computer online when installing Webroot, to make sure it works correctly
• Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
• Install with the  installer, enter your Keycode
• Let it finish it's install scan
• Reboot

Hi Sherry, if I may interject on this one?
 
Hi texasred1941, may I just as if you have a Surface 2 or a Surface 2 Pro?  The reason I ask is that the Surface 2 runs Windows RT as the tablet only version of Windows was known as (it is not sold anymore) and as such WSA cannot be installed on machines running Windows RT.  It can only be installed on machines running a full version of Windows, i.e., Windows 8/8.1.
 
I do not want to jump to conclusions here as it is easy to call a Surface Pro a Surface and vice versa...but in this case it is very important to be clear as to which version of the hardware you have.

Is the Surface 2 a Surface 2 or a Surface 2 Pro?  There is a big difference: The Pro version runs standard Windows 8.x on which AV software can be installed and used.  The NON Pro version runs the Mobile version of Windows, and there are NO AV apps for that at all from any vendor.
