our webroot in the dock does not show an exclamation point, however at the top it does, and when I open webroot , it says first scan not completed or something like that? I want to make sure that our computer is protected. Please let me know about this. thank you. I have an Imac desktop.

As long as the icon for Webroot is green, then you should be considered protected and a scan run recently. If the icon is yellow or red, then it will need attention and will specifically tell you what is required (usually a scan or to quarantine items).
