Webroot and Windows Defender
Using Windows 10, Can Webroot Complete be run along with Windows Defender. I was told by Geek Squad that I should NOT run both programs together as thay tend to collide, saying Windows Defender run alone is OK...........(I did lose Webroot after a Windows 10 Update was told Windows identified Webroot as a threat and thus, removed it.) What say the Mods here ....ThankYou

Yes, WSA of any version can be run along with Windows Defender. What Geek Squad told you is in my humble opinion completely incorrect as WSA is designed from the ground up to be compliant and to cohabit with other mainline security apps. In fact there are only a cople of issues that I know of when one tries to run it with another security app...and that app is NOT WSA...before you ask. ;)
We have heard that very, very occasionally the Windows 10 upgrade results in WSA being removed from the system...but in all cases that I have come across it can and has been reinstalled with absolutely no issues.
As for Windows Defender...personally whilst you can run both on your system quite happily I would ask the question as to why would you; WSA provides much better protection that Windows Defender so why suffer the additional system resource usage for what amounts to little or not gain?
But in the end the choice is yours.
