My hp desktop is a few years old and came with Windows 10, so it has Windows security software.  I also have Webroot software from the store.  In addition, my brother suggested VPN software, so I ended up with Avast software.

Should I be worried about conflicts?  Don’t see any, but I’m not a wizard on the PC, either?

Should I get rid of any of this?

Hello @rmarinelli and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

When you install another AV that will turn off Windows Defender you can see in this picture and Windows Defender becomes a Periodic scanner if you want. And if Avast is just a VPN you should not have any issues.

Thanks,
