I see the extenstion in my list of addons, but I don't see the icon in the upper right of the browser, where my other addons appear.
so what does that mean -- is it working, or not?

In Firefox make sure the Webroot Filtering Extension is Enabled. When it is enabled it will be working. It does not show any icon in the browser when enabled and working. The only Webroot icon shown in the browser when enabled is the Webroot Password Manager.

Yes, that is correct...but please note that in Chrome there is a Web Filter Extension option to hide the extension in the Toolbar, so that it does not appear if you would prefer that itndoes not take up precious space.
