I noticed that webroot extension filtering sometimes takes much longer in some websites, almost over 1 minute, and it locks the browser..Other times it goes fast in the same websites...is that a normal behavior??

Could you please give more details for us, if you're still getting slowdowns. What Operating System? What sites definitely give slow loading for you?
You might wish to Submit a Support Ticket who'll advise on best resolution, if needed also.
Are you using the latest version of Webroot? They are constantly improving and developing the filtering extension, and you can always disable it if you wish, without reducing the overall protection.
