I am new to Webroot, having installed it 5 days ago. The only problem I am having is in Firefox (lastest version 39.0) loading a web page with Adobe flash content. Specifically, I am having problems with the crossword puzzle and sudoku from the Indianapolis Star (web pages http://www.uclick.com/client/isn/fcx/ and http://www.uclick.com/client/isn/sudoc/).
With Webroot Filtering Extension 1.1.0.59 disabled, the puzzles load immediately. With the extension enabled, the puzzles take at least 90 seconds to load, freezing the browser in the process. I do not have any problem loading the same pages in Chrome or IE. I am using the latest Shockwave Flash v. 18.0.0.209.
I am running Windows 7 Professional, SP1 (64 bit). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Webroot, with no change. The only thing I am changing to produce this result is enabling/disabling Webroot Filtering Extension 1.1.0.59 in Firefox. With the extension enabled, the page hangs up. With the extension disabled, the page loads normally.
I doubt that this is a deal breaker, but not sure what the problem is. Baldrick previously stated: "The Web Filtering Extension should have no effect on browsing as all it really does is provide the green check marks against search results...nothing more really."
