I was instructed by Webroot Tech Support to reset Firefox to see if it would eliminate Firefox from freezing which is too early to tell but now the Webroot Filtering Extension is gone as well.

Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Have you checked in Firefox borwser settings and checked extensions and see if it's enabled? You can go to the upper right hand corner and open the the FF menu dropdown box and check add ons/Extensions.Sometimes a FF update might not enable the Webfilter again.

If the Webfilter isn't there then you could once again submit a Support Ticket free of charge with an active subscription. Or for drastic messures we can do a clean reinstall of Webroot which would only take 5 minutes or so.

If you want then please follow these instructions closely. Uninstall Webroot from Programs/Tools/Uninstall.

To install WSA :
  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example:SA69-AANA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

Let us know if this resolved your issue or not.

Kind Regards,

Sherry,

Thank you for the assistance! After having done the reset, the Webroot Extension was missing altogether and for some reason after rebooting a couple of times it displayed, but disabled. I've since enabled it and back in business.

Thanks again!
