Cannot start Internet Explorer unless switching off Webroot firewall. Firefox not affected,always works OK. This is undocumented setting in Webroot,since NONE of blocking/unblocking lists etc has any effect on this problem. VERY frustrating! I think it is unlikely I am the only person in the world having this problem. Anyone else that had this problem and knows how to solve it?
I have latest updated Webroot SecureAnywhere version 9.0.8.72 and recently renewed license.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
There are no undocumented user accesible settings in WSA as far as I know. I have just tried to access IE and seem to be able to do so quite normally.
What it looks like is that somehow the Firewall setting for IE under WSA's outbound connection rules has been set to 'Block' and therefore we need to reset it. Now how we do this depends on what version of Windows you are running.
If running Windows 7 then you should click on the gear/cog symbol to the right of the PC Security tab in the main app panel, then under the Scan & Shields tab click on the 'View Active Connections' button (bottom right hand corner of the page). You should then see a list of connections and should be able to find the one for iexplorer and reset it from 'Block' to 'Allow'.
If you are runninga version of Windows later than Windows 7 then I am afraid that at presetn the only way to reset the current Firewall settings is to carry out an uninstall/clean reinstall (that should hopefully change shortly due to a Feature Request that I believe is currently under consideration by the Development Team).
If yo want to carry out the uninstall/clean reinstall please follow the steps below closely!

- Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example:SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
- KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
- Uninstall WSA and Reboot
- Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and do NOT import any settings if offered by the installer; to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot once again
