Thanks Webroot, for breaking my existing Lastpass Enterprise setup with your stupid Webroot Toolbar. Did it ever occur to anyone in testing that there might be people out there who already have Lastpass, and automatically replacing that with your version might not be a good thing? I shouldn't have to wait on the phone for 30 minutes for someone to send me a toolbar removal tool - unwanted toolbars are something Webroot is supposed to prevent - not create.
I was lazy and renewed my subscription recently, but this is the last time. Thanks for turning what used to be a great product into another piece of bloatware.
I uninstalled Webroot for this reason. I was furious when it messed up Lastpass for me without giving me an option not to install their password manager. And then getting around it seemed impossible.

Replacing my Lastpass Enterprise account with Webroot's inferior rebranded Lastpass standard software is not a solution. Besides, that's not the point. Webroot shouldn't hijak my browser settings to install software I don't want installed - and then do it again every time there's an update to Webroot. That's how Unwanted Applications work - it's what Webroot is supposed to protect us against, and instead has become one itself.

That is a little harsh, especially as you do not have to use any of the Webroot browser extensions if you do not want them, i.e., you can say 'No' when youare offerred the opportunity to use them and also you can disable them from within the relevant browser's extension/addon manager, if you so wish...so no PUA-type behaviour there.

The problem is I did remove the extension - and it broke Lastpass for me to the point I had to wait for Webroot support to send me a tool to remove it properly. And then after doing that it did the same thing again a month later, presumably due to a Webroot update.
At least Java gives you a checkbox to uncheck the Ask Toolbar if you don't want it - Webroot doesn't even give you that for the Lastpass toolbar, or check to see if you already have Lastpass installed. Webroot lists the Ask Toolbar as a PUA, yet it's own Lastpass toolbar is harder to prevent installing.

I don't remember being given an option not to have my Lastpass installation obliterated and all my stuff moved into Webroot directories. Did I miss the prompt?
Well, I think that this is where you went wrong...there is no need to remove the extension...just disable it and it just sits there quietly causing no trouble. ;)
And actually, thinking about it, there is the option to not install it anyway when WSA is first installed...the browser prmpts one to agree or not to the installation and enablement of the extensions.
I think that you have just been unlucky in this case.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
I suspect that you probably did miss the prompt as I have always received it as and when I install/re-install WSA.
It may be worth chekcing with SUpport though as to whether, because you have LastPass already installed, there is a conflict or something like that? I have not heard of this sort of conflict but then again I do not know everything about WSA. ;)
