I have tried the operation here and have no issues with it. So I would suggest that (i) you reboot & try again and if that does not work that you (ii) uninstall & clean reinstall WSA, and if that does not rwolve the issue then you (iii) open a support ticket to get the Support Team involved.

I checked in the windows program folder to see what is this process "new_chrome". There isn't one there. It is a temporary process created when chrome is about to update.
Yes, most likely, so you can delete the entry if it is not needed.
