Webroot Won't Scan Individual File/Folder

I used to be able to right-click on a file or folder and scan it with Webroot.

But now, when I right-click and select "scan," Webroot doesn't scan nor show any result.

What is going on?

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community.

I apologize for the issue you are experiencing.

Have you attempted to restart the machine? If so, does the issue persist after a restart?

If it does, I would advise uninstalling and reinstalling the program as that should resolve this issue.

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

Please let me know if that works or if there is anything else I can do to assist.

Regards,

Hello there, welcome to the Community!

The function to right click might have been disabled in your settings somehow... let's take a look.

Open WSA
Click Advanced Settings at the upper right
Click Scan Settings on the left side
Check to make sure that there is a check mark next to "Enable right-click scanning in Windows Explorer"

Let us know if this helps!
