i get a message on my computer asking me to change the name of a file or folder to a suggested name because it may cause other programs to malfunction, please is this a virus because i have been scanning and there are no notifications of threats
And i have been ignoring the message, please what should I do?

I'm not sure if I can't tell you if this is a bug in your software, an error of some sort. or an unknown program or a PUA causing trouble with your OS.
I have found a site that has some options for you if you want to check it our HERE
You may want to use ccleaner snd see if it can pick up any unneeded files or temp..etc.
