What should I do when someone calls me and says my computer has been hacked.
Someone called me yesterday (my computer was off) said my computer was being hacked. That I needed to turn it on. What should I do.

Put the phone down if they ring again - swearing at them before you do so is optional! :D
These low life are scammers and you should not waste your breath on them. There have been numerous posts from other users on this board and if you search for SCAM you can read them, and the subsequent advice, at your leisure.

Also, if you're on a smartphone you can download call blocker apps to block these kinds of calls. I use Mr. Number.
