where do I find and type in thus license key
paid for this security and now wants a license key, where do i find this and where do i type it in

Welcome to the Community Forums.
On purchasing WSA where you get the key from depends on who you purchased from and by what means.
If you purchased a retail boxed version then the key code be included in the paperwork provided with the media. If you purchased the Webroot version (as opposed to the Best Buy version) online then you should have received an email once payment has been confirmed and that should include the keycode in the format:
SA69-AANA-A783-DE78-C584 (please not that this is an EXAMPLE)
If you purchased the Best Buy version then you need to be looking at your receipt as I believe that the keycode is printed out on that (but I am sure that someone more knowledgeable than I will adv ise if this is not correct).
In terms of entering the keycode it is usually required to be entered as part of the installation. If you have installed a trial which has run out and so already have WSA installed then all you do is to click on the gear/cog symbol to the right of the 'My Account' tab (in the main app panel) and on the rightand side of the next panel displayed you should see a large white field with an 'Activate' button underneath it. Enter the keycode in the field and then click 'Activate'...et voila.
