Why are my scans aborted almost every time I scan my computer?

When I log on to my laptop, there is always a web root icon at the bottom with an excalmation point.  So, I scan my computer to get rid of the threats, but it only gets to about 60% complete and then it aborts and nothing has changed.  How can I remove these threats from my computer?  Pam

Hello Pamt,

Welcome to the Community!

Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely! This is only for a WindowsPC

  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue? If not then we will look at alternative avenues to try and solve this for you.

Thanks,
