Why do Excel files disappear from the pinned Excel icon in the taskbar after a Webroot scan??

Sorry about that. I unclicked the Clipboard Contents in System Optimizer (as ? already mentioned) and its back up again.

    Do you happen to have the System Optimizer scheduled perhaps?
     


     


     
    Because I wouldn't know why Webroot would rid your Excel icon from the Taskbar.
     
    Maybe @ has some information here?

    Welcome to the Community Forums
     
    Could be because the 'Recent document istory' check box is checked in the System Optimizer settings under 'Adavabced Settings', as Sherry has suggested.
     
    You will need to experiment to get the right mix of settings for you.

    Sorry for the delay. I did some adjustments until I found the fix but don't ask me now what I did.

    After the Webroot update to 9.0.47, my pinned Excel file on the desktop (taskbar) disappeared again. Anybody heard of this?  While I somehow fixed it myself previously, I have no memory of what I did. Thank, in advance.

    Ok folks, back to square one. User #1 loses the pinned excel files from the Excel icon in the taskbar, User #2 does not.
     
    Any thoughts, other than my computer is WEIRD.
