Why do I have to buy the cd when renewing my service? I have the cd at home, but we are traveling.
I don't understand this.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
If yo are renewing, i.e., you already have WSA installed on your system then there is absolutely no need for a further CD (and if you need the installer a fresh then we can provide links for you to download it).
Check to make sure that on the renewal site there is not an option to dispense withthe CD.
