why do I keep getting pop-up's stateing that my plug-in and shockwave isnt responding, and then free

keep getting pop-up's, stateing that my plug-in and shockwave isnt responding, then computer freezes.. should i reinstall adobe flash player?

    get.adobe.com/shockwave/
     
    Adobe Flash Player here
    https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
     
    Make sure you uncheck any add ons such as McAfee.
