Why do I need to buy a new plan for Webroot when I should be able to add to current plan?

I have 2 PC's added to my plan that should cover three. I want to add the Surface 3 Tablet to the plan but when I click it to download, the Webroot pops up as if to run and scan saying I need to buy now because the subscription is up. However, the plan my other two computers are under says I have another year and a half. Very confused and would love some help!!

Hello currya15,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Can you try this below and if this doesn't work, then please let us know.

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

You can also  Submit a Support Ticket free of charge with an active subscription and the Support team can help sort this out for you.

Hi currya15

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If I may just add to what Sherry has posted...are we talking about one keycode or more than one? Where the two PCs added to the same keycode or did you get a new keycode?  Assuming that there is only one keycode in play then are you sure that you entered the keycode correctly. There have been cases of what you are seeing having been caused by something as simple as incorrecte entry, etc.
