why does webroot block zona?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
 
I am no expert but from the research I have done the Zona app is rated as a PUP (Potential Unwanted Program) or as we know it in the Community, a PUA (Potential Unwanted Application), and some have even called it an all-in-one- piracy app (much like Popcorn), and hence is being detected by WSA and blocked.
 
Perhaps one of the professionals @ @ would provide an expert opinion on this app?

I've had a look at this, and it appears that earlier versions were bundling additional Potentially Unwanted Applications, which is likely why it was being detected. Since it is a torrent client, the Virustotal results that are seen are probably from the Enterprise versions of the products used in Virustotal. Most admins don't like having torrent clients running on their networks or getting contacted by the MPAA because an employee has been pirating movies on their corporate network.
 
The current version is safe, and we will reverse the determinations on it.
