I purchased Webroot because I thought I had Malware that was redirecting Yahoo.com
I am still running Webroot and Yahoo is still being redirected. I have seen many fixes online, but some of those seem to want to sell a product, and or download something on your computer. The options are not good. I run a Mac and I also run a PC, both have issues.
Why does Yahoo get redirected with hsrd.yahoo.com/_ylt (and then a bunch of other characters)?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Sounds to me as if you might have your browser homepage set to that site for Yahoo so to check that out and dispense with this if it is not the case, on your PC please do the following:
Open Internet Explorer on the desktop, and thenclick on the cog symbol in the top righthand corner of the page. Then select "Internet Options", which should open with the "General" Tab displayed. In the "Home Page" box, check to see if you have hsrd.yahoo.com, and if so then delete it and if you want yahoo.com as your home page then enter "yahoo.com" or another webpage to use...I use google.co.uk for mine.
Under "Startup", Select "Start with Homepage" button. Click Apply and then Click OK.
Let us know if that has helped and if not then at least it has removed one possibility as to the source of your issue.
