Web Shield > Off
Restart machine (not Shut down)
Web Shield > On
check Chrome & Firefox

Thanks for the suggestion. It did not work for me. I tried disabling Web Shield from the main screen, restarted, set it back, restarted again, and it was still broken. Then I tried changing it from the Advanced dialog, then restarted and changed it back, with the same result. I have two other machines that don't have the problem. This is a brand new machine with a new Windows 10 installation.

Since, new machine. Have you properly removed trialware security per vendor. Just asking.

Try a clean reinstall of WSA!

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • Be sure you add your Keycode to your Online Console: Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Geek Squad Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and do NOT import any settings if offered by the installer as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

You must get the Chrome Extension from the Chrome Store from now on as they are forcing Webroot to post them in there: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/webroot-filtering-extensi/kjeghcllfecehndceplomkocgfbklffd?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog
