Or internet explorer has blocked a popup.  Either way the computer does not continue for that site.  Scan many times with nothing being found.  Any ideas?

Hello RichArms50,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

From my research I have found this below/

You can tell your Internet Explorer to ignore these errors when they occur and not show you an alert about them. Here is the procedure:
  • Open Internet Explorer
  • In the top menu, Click on Tools and then Internet Options
  • Click on the Advanced Tab
  • Find where it says “Disable Script Debugging” and tick the box beside it
  • Now, Find where it says “Display a notification about every script error” and untick the box beside it.
If you are concerned then you can always Submit a Support Ticket and they can look into this for you free of charge with an active subscription.

? do you have any information to add here?

The boxes were already checked and unchecked as you had said.  Any other advice?

Hi RichArms50,

Not sure what to do except did you restart your browser IE after making these changes? Also it would be good to clear your history/cache cookies in your browser.

I took her computer and had the hd reformated.  I need to reload webroot and an adblocker.  I want to download it to a flash drive from my computer.  How do I go about doing this?

Hi RichArms50

Well, you just need to use one of these links, depending on which version you have purchase:

Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)

making sure that the target for the download is the flash drive that you want to hold the installer on.

Having said that I would make sure that when installing you copy the installer to the system drive of the machine that you want WSA installed on as the installer will by default install on the drive that it is residing on, although you can in the installer advanced options change the location of installation...but personally I would not do that, and stick withthe suggestion above.

Hello RichArms50

Good free Ad Blocker like the ones suggested below:

For Internet Explorer Ad Block Plus: https://adblockplus.org/

For Firefox uBlock: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/?src=ss or Privacy Badger: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/privacy-badger-firefox/

Google Chrome uBlock: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm?hl=en or Privacy Badger: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/privacy-badger/pkehgijcmpdhfbdbbnkijodmdjhbjlgp

You can always install Webroot here from the Forum and to save AdBlockers you can just right click the file you want to save and send to jumjp drive listed

Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,

Baldrick

Hi RichArms50

If I may just add to what Sherry has posted...stick with uBlock and of the two version I would go with uBlock Origin as the original development forked a while back and it is the Origin derivatiev that is being actively developed, plus as a result it is lighter on the system than the original.

I would avoid Privacy Badger as I have had nothing but issues with it especially if installed with uBlock.

Hope that helps?
