To address your situation please follow these instructions below. Also I am sorry your post got lost in the mix of things which hardly ever happens, But try this below.
If you have a new keycode, you can activate it as follows:
And btw: There are alot of these SCAMS going around all the time. Good thing you didn't pay for this because Webroot has free Tech support with an active Webroot subscription. Here is a video on What If Webroot Misses a Virus

If you have a new keycode, you can activate it as follows:
- Open SecureAnywhere.
- Click the gear icon next to My Account. Your account panel displays. [img]http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/myaccountdetails.png[/img]
- Under Activate a new keycode, enter the keycode you want to add and click Activate. Note: your keycode is a string of 20 alphanumeric characters. It is unique and holds the information about your subscription. You may choose to copy and paste your keycode when prompted, to ensure that the characters are entered correctly.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
If I may add...as Sherry has said you should not need to uninstall 'old' and then install 'new' versions as unless the 'old' version is a pre-2011 version then effectively there are no calendar versions of WSA anymore...the updates are incremental and ongoing.
If however you feel that you need to uninstall & then reinstall, and as such are having issues with uninstalling then pelase come back here as we can assist with that.
