What if I purchase a new copy, rather than go through the renewal process...will I loose the days remaining on my current subscription or will it get added on to the days currently remaining with my current subscription?

Yes you will loose those remaining days left. It's better to wait till the day before Webroot expires. If you purchase a new keycode you can always Contact Support and ask them if they would add your remaining days onto your new keycode before you install the new keycode.. Not sure if they will or not.
But it's better to wait till Webroot expires. IMO.
