Winzip System Utilities v Webroot
I just downloaded this....it is unable to activate...do I need it? (says there were a bunch of outdated certificate registrations and computer usage was impeded).

Your question is in fact a moot point and there will be many differing views about system optimising software per as well as the particular merits of specifica application. I personally have never used WinZip's oferring in this area...they are late comers to that market and as to whether they are any good, well all I can suggest is that you search for reviews on the Internet and take those into consdiration.
Having said that WSA and WinZip Utlilties serve two complelete different purposes and as such should not be compared. You need WSA; that goes without saying as it provide strong protection against malware, etc...whether you need a system optimizer app like WinZip Utilities...is the moot point.
