WR gone from desktop ? account info says 'acount expire' but only 255 days, and settings chgned ?
turned pc on this morning and WR gone from desktop, clik on acnt and says 'account expired' BUT only 255 days used ?? all settings turned off,, found screen to put in 'key code' and seemed to turn back on but had to reset all settings,, ran several scans and everything seems to be OK ...?? whats up ?? have never had this happen before ??

Mighty good question there... and I am really not sure what happened. I can say that in dealing with Best Buy Subscription versions of WSA I did see that happen a few time, though very very rare.
When it did occur, the fix was just as you explained: re-key the key code.
Has the computer been off of the internet for an extended period of time? While the current version has been out for a while, if for some reason your computer was just today updating it MIGHT have had a glitch while updating and caused a corruption of the data file in which the key code is stored.
Or perhaps did the computer get shut down improperly last night?
I do not think you will see this happen again: as I noted above while I have seen it, it seems to be really quite rare. Please DO let us know if you see it again.

As David said...a weird one indeed. I personally have never come across this one but I urge you to Open a Support Ticket including this link in the details so that the Support Team can investigate. When you raise the ticket logs are automatically gathered and sent to the team and that may give them an insight into what happened, etc.

thanks for your quick response,, long story shortened a bit,, unless i am on the PC it is powered "off", unless i am 'online' the PC is 'always' disconnected from the net.. ( call me paranoid or ?? ) after being hacked several years ago this is the way i operate,, and only do manual updates ( at least once sometimes twice a week ) of all programs !! ,, it was shut down normally and off for 3 days.. when i turned it on ( offline ) (i normally run a scan when i turn on for the first time of the day ) went to run a scan and desktop and toolbar icon were missing.. have never had that happen before.. (guess first time for everything) have been using WR since it came out and love it,, after 'rekeying' everything seems to be normal now ( :( 😛 ?? ) ran scans with 3 diff programs and nothing reported... soooo unless NSA is snooping around :( will take it as a one time glitch... just wanted to see if anyone else has seen this.. ( just for the record wish everyone would get out of the " CLOUD " )
