Untill recently I have had no problem using Ashampoo Snap9 to capture parts of my screen for different purpoes.
Now however when I want to capture a rectangular part of the screen then all of the screen is blanked out, so that I cannot copy the desired part of the screen.
Only when I shut down WR completely down it is possible to mark a rectangular part of the screen for copying.
I have tied to shut down either of the three specified areas one at a time:
Reatime Shield,
Web Shield and
Firewal
l - but none of this allows for catching a screen rectangular screen copy.
Where could I amend the "efficiency" of WR as to not prohibit the desired screen capture.

Thanks for your answer
The two links in your answer however do not work.
Both return the following replyrather than the expected guides.

"An invalid set of parameters has been specified in the url.Return to my original page"
Via the support for Snap9
following link should help to solve this problem:https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/How-to-allow-a-trusted-screen-capture-program/ta-p/10498 I found the application Snap9 on a list in Identity Protection>Application Protection> near the bottom of the list.
IT was marked by a Deny Radio Button. which I changed to Allow - this did the trickand the Capture Free Region is possible because the screen is only greytoned rather than completely conciled.

Thanx a lot

Hello Scribe,

Please see if the screen capture's process is being blocked in Control Active Processes: http://live.webrootanywhere.com/content/643/Controlling-Active-Processes

Please also see: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/How-to-allow-a-trusted-screen-capture-program/ta-p/10498

and https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/What-is-the-difference-between-quot-Detection-Configuration-quot/ta-p/5816

If you try these and it doesn't work, then whitelisting of files could be needed so Submit a Support Ticket

Please let us know the outcome, or if you need further advice.

Edit: Fixed 2 links.

Hello Scribe,

Thanks for letting us know it's fixed for you, and apologies that 2 of the 4 links posted don't seem to work (I'll investigate), but hopefully you and Snap9 were pointed in the right direction nevertheless.
