WSA - One suggestion & Two Questions

Hi,
I have been a WSA user for about 2 years. Before WSA, I never used an AV more than 6 months (I have been a AV fanboy). During this 2 years, I have tried using other AV, but always returned back to WSA because of its simplicity, low resource usage, yet powerful protection. Today, I am writing this post to express my opinion about one thing in Webroot that annoys me the most.
Webroot, apart from its good detection, does a lot of false detections on files and especially on websites. Fortunately, none of those are too serious (non-system files) and I can easily put those detections in white list.
I know how to report false detections on files (using a webform), but I think it would be a great idea, to have an option in the detection window for reporting fps (without bloating the gui), because it is troublesome & time consuming to open AV window separately, navigating to reports section and then upload files using the opened webform in the browser.

Now, I have two questions.
1. How to manage the website whitelists or detections in the GUI?
2. How to report fps on websites?

Thanks
Sujay

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

You can submit a Support Ticket to whitelist your files.

You can submit a file for analysis by going here

BrightCloud URL

http://www.brightcloud.com/tools/change-request-url-categorization.php

To Manage your files please have a look at the PC User Guide

  • Open WSA
  • Click the 'gear tool' next to PC Security
  • Click Block/Allow Files tab
  • Look to see if the file in question is listed here.  If yes, make sure it is set to Allow.  If it is not listed, click the Add File button at the bottom.
  • Try to start the program in question
  • Click the 'gear tool' next to Utilities
  • Click the System Control tab
  • Find Control Active Processes, and click the Start button
  • Look to see if the file is listed here, and if so set it to Allow

Hope this helped,

Kind Regards,
