Is there somewhere I can turn off programs that don't need to run everyday, Like Quickbooks since I only use on Thursdays to do payroll?

Hello susandvgaines,
Welcome to the Webroot Community Forum,
This could be a variety of reasons why your computer is running slow.
EDIT: You can run the optimizer in Webroot here
Do you know how to run Msconfig? You can uncheck programs like Adobe, Quickbooks and iTunes, etc from starting up when you boot up.
You may want to run ccleaner. But go directly to there website.
Cleaning your browser history and cookies will help with your internet if thats becoming slow.
Look here for doing a disk clean up http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup#delete-files-using-disk-cleanup=windows-8

Hope this helps,
Best Regards,
