Hi there

I bought weebroot 11 months ago, and now I`m receiving an advertising that shows a 25% discount. But the “retail price” is more expansive than the same item at Best Buy….
Where is the discount?

tks

Hi nonick542, welcome to the Community, Not certain but I would expect BestBuy purchases Webroot licenses in bulk and therefore is able to offer a substatial savings. I'm sure "shorTcircuiT" a past BestBuy guru can answer this!?
Not likely a Fake discount. Are you unable to determine the source of the advertisment email and/or is it a popup?

It is rather hard to answer this, as no actual prices are mentioned.  Also, remember that Best Buy sells not only their own Subscription Services version of WSA, but also all of the other standard versions as well.  One must be making sure you are looking at the same product when comparing prices.

Perhaps if more information was provided, such as is the renewal through Best Buy or Webroot, which product is being renewed, etc I could be of more assistance here.

I'm currently in the month before expiration and also getting the very annoying boot-up, pop-up, please-renew-today window on all my machines, and OP nonick542 is right about fake discounts. I'm surprised that people are questioning this claim because often security or tax software that is sold in retail stores or websites can be cheaper than the same software purchased directly from the company's website, unless you're in a store or website that sells at full retail price--this is not new or unique to Webroot. You always want to check multiple sources for the best price.

Anywhere here are the current prices (please note, Amazon's prices for Webroot software change frequently; occasional brief, dramatic discounts are offered from these prices, such as on Cyber Monday--it pays to watch Webroot software on camelcamelcamel.com):
