GRC Leak Test successful against Webroot.

For years I've used GRC (Gibson Research) LeakTest to check my firewall. No problems.  I've recently installed WebRoot for the first time.
LeakTest went straight through - no challenge. Has anyone an explanation for how that happens?

The primary reason is that the GRC LeakTest file is known and considered a trusted process so it is alowed to make the connection to it's server. The situation would be different with an unknown, untrusted file, but the behavior would depend on your OS and settings.

I'm not familiar with that tool, but it appears it's a test for the firewall.  Webroot is mainly a malware/virus prevention tool, although we do make use of the Windows firewall to make sure that is turned on and setup properly.  What version of Windows are you using?

I'll also talk to one of our folks here who works on our evaluation methodology and AV testing companies to see if he can add more information.
