Hello,
I was wondering if I order Webroot from a site offering the 1 yr subscription for 1 device for 19.99 if this is legitimate software as the main webroot homepage price is almost double that.

Hi pdfinke

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If I may just add...In general we would advise steering clear of ebay-sourced offers on Webroot software, but as you have found out there are many sites offering Webroot software at prices that are lower than the price that Webroot sells at...it is a topic that has come up a numebr of times in the past and I believe that our most excellent Community Manager ? has said that this is under review at Webroot.

In the interim I would say that you should do the usual due diligence that one should/would do for any web-based purchase and then make sure that you buy on a credit card or PayPal (if available) so that you have recourse to protection afforded in the purchase runs into problems.

Regards, Baldrick

I would also add that on Amazon, purchase only directly from Webroot.  Same reason as avoiding purchase on Ebay.

Resellers determine their own pricing. We sell it to them at a bulk price and then they can determine their margins and when and how much they want to put it on sale for. Like David said, just make sure they are a legit reseller like Amazon or NewEgg. Be wary of people selling on Ebay.
