I am getting messages from myself and then numbers are growing. I have read that there is little to be done.  I have Webroot and wonder if there is anyway through Webroot to stop this.
Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community.

When you say "spoofing" do you mean texts/calls on your cell phone from fake numbers? If so, you are not alone. I get spoofed calls daily on my cell phone. The mobile version of Webroot can protect the content of your phone, protect you while online, and check the integrity of your apps but really can't do anything with regards to calls/texts you are receiving. I have spoken to reps at my cell provider (US Cellular) and they tell me there is little they can do. Scammers use computers to spoof the number that is calling you. My only suggestion is to only answer calls in your contact list. If you receive a call and don't recognize the number, try Googling the number first before trying to call it back. This will save you airtime if you're on a metered plan. (Every time I've tried calling one of these numbers back they have always been disconnected.)

I know this isn't a real solution, but until the cellular providers decide to get serious about this problem, we will just have to live with it. :(
